Codorus State Park is only 1 mile from Penn Grove Retreat, offering 3,326 acres with hiking and horse trails. There is also a large lake, Lake Marburg, which offers excellent boating and fishing opportunities.
The large sprawling Lake Marburg is a hot spot for anglers and boaters.
The forests of Codorus stand in tall contrast to the surrounding farmlands. Codorus is an excellent place to observe waterfowl and warblers during their spring and fall migrations.
Gettysburg Battlefield is about 30 minutes away, for the history buffs

For those who have the urge to get away and shop, there are the Brand Name outlet stores at Gettysburg Outlets.

Dutch Wonderland - "A Kingdom For Kids"
Dutch Wonderland is located about an hour's drive from Penn Grove Retreat and offers many rides and shows, which are great for the younger children.

Lancaster County - "The Heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country" - is known for its Amish Community, Country Markets, and beautiful rolling countryside. These attractions are only about 1 hour away from the camp.

Hershey Chocolate World is known for its candy and Hershey Park for it's many rides.
Hershey Chocolate World is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from Penn Grove Retreat. Many consider it to be worth the time.

National Aquarium in Baltimore
